There is an in-line fuse in the front compartment. It is usually hard to find, but is in the tangle of wires behind the battery.

We just had the same problem with our Maxxair fan. The technician I spoke with said that the lift mechanism used to have a plastic gear, but they are now using a metal gear. When I called, they asked for my serial number (from the fan) so they could send me a new one.

Forgot to say that we have owned  a Grand Design Solitude 305RE for two years and love it.  We have had great support from Grand Design. They are very customer focused and easy to deal with.

Hershey Pennsylvania is a long way for you, but RVIA bills it as the largest RV show in the country. It takes place in September (usually the second week) we got a great price there on our unit and were able to get it matched by our local dealer.

Grand Design now makes a Solitude (379RL) front living room model.  Crossroads also makes the Rushmore Lincoln.
