    1996 Damon Ultasport 35'

I am one of the fortunate ones to own a 1994 chassis, 1995 body damon ultrasport 33 ft, gas with 460 engine. I purchased it from my father-in-law about 14 years ago with 23k on it. He was 1st owner. I now have 40k on it. Everything works good, coach and chassis and I would take it anywhere. Try...

    Thetford water valve replacement

Mine is an aqua magic style II and base separates from bowl. When I worked on mine last year I had priced a toilet seal from local rv store. I bought base cheaper than I could have bought seal only

    Thetford water valve replacement

Last year I needed to replace the seal on my thetford style II plastic/porcelin toilet. I found the whole base all together, seal, water valve, all together for 75.00 at walmart, online. Shipping was very fast

Our class A has that 45 degree bend pipe as well. After several times of clearing the pipe clear up to the toilet opening with water and awning rod we had determined we were not using enough water with each flush. Problem solved

    Can’t get rid of odor

It sounds to me like you went the whole season with no odor, and if you have not changed your dumping schedule, nothing would have changed with your tanks. If what you do with your tanks has always worked for you then I would be looking for rodent. As you know a mouse can get in anywhere, but...

    Cold shower on pause

Update: tried to install check valve behind shower, not enough room. Tried to install check valve at water heater, found one already there. Removed it and inspected it, it did not hold pressure. Cleaned valve, now holds pressure and reinstalled. 1st camp this season coming up in a couple of weeks.

    Oil changes

I understand the use of synthetic motor oils, 5k, 10k between changes, great. How long does it take to get to those mileages, I am talking about motor homes. For me, I live in 4 seasons country and I use mine 6 months out of the year. Sure, the oil might hold up, how about the rest of it. How...

    Oil changes

As a retired auto shop owner I have seen many a vehicle in for repair that had been at a "quick Lube" for oil change. That is all they did was change oil and filter. The point is preventive maintenance. You want somebody to look over front to back for potential issues that you dont want to...

Serpentine Belt 2001 Workhorse 8.1 Vortec

Henry: taking a belt off is always easier than putting a new belt back on. First of all when you remove used belt and hold it up it is round. Take a new belt out of the pkg and hold it up, now picture trying to put that belt on by yourself. Mark is right, it often takes 2 people to put a new...

Serpentine Belt 2001 Workhorse 8.1 Vortec

As a retired shop owner and mechanic my recommendation is dont wait for it to fail. If you think you might have to replace it out on the road that would be the worst place to do it. Do it at home and save the old one for a spare. Same year, make and model could have different parts installed...

    Cold shower on pause

Thank you guys for the responses. I have to revert back to page 11 thread, recommended shower head with a response by Wild Bill and the test that he made. The results were clear for me, check valve and shut off valve. I rethought my install process and deceided to go behind shower 1st, if no...

    Cold shower on pause

Thanks for the reply Matt. I think I will try the install at the heater first, much easier to get to, nothing lost if it doesnt work as expected. Behind the hose on faucet end for 2nd try. Also shut off valve at hose at faucet to stop dribble

    Cold shower on pause

In reading a thread on page 11, Recommended shower head, Wild Bill posted a reply that I believe has answered a question I have had why my shower would turn cold on pause. The check valve he refers to installs on back of shower, if room. My question is can I install on hot out of water heater to...
