I will add we have been thinking about moveing up to the MDT trucks such as a Frieghtliner crewcab with a hauler bed. Our Chevy 3500 dually does fine with the toyhualer but even with the golfcar & all terrain mobility scooter still under max gvwr of 20K. I allready have the Tx class A nonCDL so...
here ,Tx, you can make a few simple mods and then you can register as a motorhome.
The escapees forum has a HDT forum and lots of folks drive big rigs. Lots have added hauler beds with a place to haul a smart car or motorcycle
We recently traded our 2011 Jayco Eagle 5er for a Grand Design Momentum toy hauler. We had looked but never found a Jayco TH with the 2nd full bath so went with the GD.
The Jayco held up well and we used a lot, even lived in it for a year building a new house. Both are good RV's but remember...
Im too cheap for the Furrion camera. Bought a Vastend wireless with 7 in display that mounts on the furrion mount off amazon, $115.36 total. Works great as both backup and rearview plus it can record. Can have up to 4 cameras. My rv is 45 ft + CC LB truck and still good reception.
I think all...
Pin is pretty heavy now with a W/D & Onan . Not really getting things inside tossed, its the Boss wants it smooth. Actually the bounce is after hitting these super pot holes & bridge expansion joints our roads now have. Ive allways added shocks to our RVs and they helped some. The Grand Design...
Anyone added these to your 5er ? our heavy toy hauler needs something to help with bounce. Im probably starting with the Roadmaster triple axle shock kit but Im curious about the air bag equalizers.
Only your DL is good in other states but your vehicles must comply with what State your in for length/wieght etc. per our 2friends at Tx DPS
I actually saw a TT this weekend with one and a golf car. Rig was doing 55 at most on I35 in a 75 limit area. Lots of bounce. On another forum a fewyrs...
Our 2011 Jayco you had to lay on your back and use a ratcheting box end wrench. I never had to do this but I got lucky as my slide wouldn't go out after getting home from a trip
The owners manual said you used a socket with the handle that you lowered the spare tire with but there was no way to...
We have allways kept our RV's ready to roll with nonperishable groceries stocked and our RV cloths which is just 4 days worth. Now that we have the stack washer & dryer I may not need but one change of clothes
It can be done cheaper useing separate boxes but the freeloading cheapskate landlord should pay for this along with splitting the service into the house, but I'm kinda thinking why would you get into this situation to begin with ?
I've also kept my Friends and money separate. They stay friends...
As a former landlord of 97 total rentals I've had to put in leases things such as this and even more off the wall.
You can buy a rv pedestal with a meter and get it installed then everyone will know thier usage.
Me, I would move now.
