We are not full timing yet (2 more months) but I have been paying my bills online for 7 or 8 years and will continue to use this system when we get out on the road.
I don't allow automatic payments to be drawn out of my account - prefer not to give anyone access to my bank accounts. I pay my bills through my bank's Bill Pay. It takes a bit of time setting it up as you have to enter company, account numbers etc., but once that's done it is quick and easy. You can either pay a bill manually each month or you can set up an automatic payment to be sent by the bank on whatever dates and interval you specify.
I also receive most of my bills online through Bill Pay, so no waiting for a paper bill to arrive. If a company does not participate in sending ebills, I go online to their website to see how much it is and then pay through Bill Pay. I have paid property and vehicle taxes this way, doctor bills, even the yard man.
I keep a spread sheet listing all bills that I mark off each month as a double check to be sure I haven't missed one. it works great
