    Reliable Used Class A

To second what Gary said, I feel the Thor Vegas / Axis model line has some interesting designs / ergonomic choices in a small coach. Just be aware they are built on a Ford E series chassis, not the Ford F53 that all other newer class A's are built on in the last 15 years. This means they have...

Motorhome set 10 yrs+ what do I need to do? Help

I am sorry about your situation, but this exactly why we so strongly suggest inexperienced RV buyers hire a certified RV inspector before making a purchase. I also second the idea of spending some time evaluating the overall condition of the RV before you spend anymore money, if it has been...

New and looking for an RV in the KC area

Here are a few thoughts beyond what Mark and Gary have said: 1, B&B RV in Denver appears to have 14 day rentals with 100 mile of use per day included in mid July for a 24 ft Class C for about $5,200, still a lot, but not $7,000. (I have no affiliation with them, though have seen a few in camp...

How Many Cars Have you Owned?

I am a bit younger, still in my 50's and thinking through depending on how you count things, my count comes out to about 8 or 9, though I tend to keep cars for a long time, and almost always putting at least 100,000 miles on them before getting rid of them, with only a couple of exceptions, such...

    Food at the campground?

We have stayed at a few commercial campgrounds with an on site restaurant of one type or another. A few include a lake front former KOA that we occasionally stop at about 120 miles west of where we live (It makes a good stop if we depart from home mid day) with a water side restaurant by the...

    1996 Damon Ultasport 35'

To follow up on Kirk's post here, I own a 2002 model year gas class A motorhome, so of a similar, but slightly newer vintage to the one in this ad, though mine has many updates and upgrades, plus was a much higher end coach when built than the Damon. I try to keep my coach in ready to go...

    1996 Damon Ultasport 35'

Damon makes / made mostly entry to mid range coaches, based on the photos this appears to be a fairly typical sub $10,000 motorhome, everything in the photos appears to be vintage, with no signs of any major updates, exterior seems to suffer from sun fading, and given where it is parked I...

Forgot to empty hot water tank…

Regardless if this turns into a replace or repair, it will have to come out.

    Reliable Used Class A

While Kirk has a point, I am of the opinion that initial build quality puts an upper end on potential condition, as a general rule Filon, Fiberglass or Aluminum roofs are better than membrane roofs like TPO, PVC and EPDM. Fully body paint is better than gel coated fiberglass with vinyl...

Forgot to empty hot water tank…

Try calling local welding and metal fabrication shops. Also check welding supply shops as they will often have business cards from local welding shops, showing the type of welding they specialize in.

Forgot to empty hot water tank…

I am going to flat out say no there is not a budget friendly fix, can it be fixed, maybe, but it is certainly not going to be budget friendly unless you are a highly experienced specialty welder.

    Reliable Used Class A

Any Class A that is below $50K will be old enough that maintenance history will play a big part in determining reliability, based on a quick rvtrader search it look like you will be looking at 2016 or older to get in below $50K on a short gas class A.

    Changing a convertor

It is fairly straight forward, there are step by step youtube videos that will walk you through the process, though I would generally suggest upgrading to something better, Progressive Dynamics makes a drop in replacement unit for your 8955 see PD4600-Converter - Progressive Dynamics

    What's missing from this forum?

Perhaps calling it something like festivals, events and rallies would cover the topic. I agree there are a lot of people with RV's that don't consider themselves RV'ers, such as all the people that own an RV that only ever take it tailgating at football games.
