Furnace runs till out of propane

The furnace will run until the interior temperature satisfiers the thermostat. Without propane to generate heat the furnace will run until you turn it off or the interior warms up to the thermostat's temperature.

Army Vet who's a soon to be apprentice electrician

Hi Josh, welcome to The RV Forum! At 39 ft. you're out of Class C (van cab) range and into a full Class A with more robust running gear. Unless you get a Super C based on a full size truck chassis and they aren't cheap. Check the payload of whatever RV you get so the weight of your tools...

Cordless Magic™ - 2024 Edition RV Antenna - 450 Mile Range anybody tried it?

In which case a 450 mile range is woefully inadequate.

Looking for a passenger side windshield

My Safari Trek used a 2 piece windshield. The passenger side was the driver's side turned upside down.

Cordless Magic™ - 2024 Edition RV Antenna - 450 Mile Range anybody tried it?

When I Googled Cordless Magic the ad that came up claimed a 900 mile range. In any event, it's impossible Internet hype. Maybe it can receive a signal from 450 to 900 miles away through empty space, but any antenna on earth is limited by the range of the transmitting tower. Usually 40-50...

Motorhome set 10 yrs+ what do I need to do? Help

I'm sorry, this is not what you want to hear but this sounds really bad. A motorhome that sat that long can be a real money pit and the engine itself is only the tip of the iceberg. Transmission, brakes, steering, tires, etc. have likely all deteriorated to the same extent while it sat and...

    12 Volt Fridge freezer

Using my Magic Chef 10.1 cu ft refrigerator as an example: 297 kWh annually divided by 365 days a year is 813 watt-hours a day. Since there are 24 hours in a day that is an average draw of 34 watts. About 3 amps continuous from a 12 volt battery. Not all that much more than the 0.5 amps or...

    Daily brake check

Some states like CA don't allow driving with just the parking lights on during the day. You have to light the headlights or nothing.

    12 Volt Fridge freezer

Absorption refrigerators use 300 watt heating elements to power their cooling units. Compressor refrigerators draw less than 1/10th that amount. The reason you don't notice the propane consumption of an absorption refrigerator is propane (or any other hydrocarbon fuel) stores so much more...

Where do you think I made a mistake?

    12 Volt Fridge freezer

Actually compressor based refrigeration is significantly more efficient than absorption cycle refrigeration, using about 1/10th as much energy per BTU of cooling.

    12 Volt Fridge freezer

Some 120 volt refrigerators are about as efficient as 12 volt units, even counting the overhead of running an inverter. Look at the refrigerator's Energy Star label for a residential refrigerator. It will give the estimated annual power consumption in kilowatt-hours. Multiply the kWh by 1000...

    Golf Carts on City Streets

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has a special classification for Low Speed Vehicles and most states allow them to be registered for use on roads with a speed limit of 35 MPH or less. Usually people think of vehicles like the GEM electric LSV or Ford THINK but golf...

    Plywood vs OSB

I wouldn't invest in any building supplies as a hedge against inflation. Back in 2008 we were starting to build a garage add-on to our new house. When the housing market collapsed our local Home Depot was practically giving stuff away via rebates, etc. which reduced our construction costs...
