Yesterday was 30 days since new knee, and rehab tech measured my knee for range of motion. Said we/I no longer need to work on range as I have exceeded what the old knee will move, so now just work on stength. This has been a piece of cake as far as a knee replacement goes.

Yes, that was part of the required home recovery unit. That thing is sweet, quiet and has a great ablity to ice the knee easily, no mess and I use frozen water bottles along with the water in the tank it has. They last about 4 hours.

There is nothing special with the new knee replacement, same identical hardware all the doctors use, whatever brand they are used to using. Difference is how they achieve the access to the knee for replacement. No cutting of tendons and muscle, just sliding them out of the way and sliding them...

Just got my second knee replaced 3 weeks ago with a new procedure called the Jiffy Knee. Last one was 5 years ago and this time has been night and day different, much less pain, medications and overall discomfort. Anyone thinking of getting a knee might want to check it out.

When we fulltime traveled on the 5th wheel I used to have to really flush the grey tank with a wand and water pressure to clean the soap residue that smelled. It was not hard to do but made a difference when we got "that" smell.
