Looking to upgrade our camp chairs from the cloth sack type camp chairs (NO LOW BACK SUPPORT) to a higher end,
ergonomic type cloth or fabric camp chair. Chair must offer decent low back support.

Looking for opinions, or pictures, etc, any info on recommended brands / types of chairs and where to buy
and / or actually see first hand prior to purchase. Price not most important feature. Comfort & back support
/ ergonomics number one priority. Also looking for something well built to last longer.

Thanks in advance.

I like director-style chairs, and this one folds down small to take less room. If my back aches, I add the lumbar support pad from my coach driving seat. Most of the time the chair is fine on its own.

+2 on the director chairs.
I gave away all my fold up tube sack chairs. They really mess up the back. Plus, the frame is made for 12 year olds -  The side frame poles would always dig into my thighs.

.

I bought 2 of those 2 years ago. Didn't use them at all last year. This year when I took them out, all the straps disintegrated in my hands. No more GCI crap for me

Best camp chairs I ever owned are a pair of ZipDee chairs.  They still look good after over 35 years of service.  For a more reasonable decent chair I like the coleman with the fold up table.  At around 35 dollars each they will last you for at least 5 years.

Is this what you are talking about Donn?

Interesting. We bought what looked to be the same chairs 6 or 7 years ago, and they are still functional. We are replacing them because the fabric trim is torn (nothing functional, just decorative) and the legs have gotten scratched up and a bit rusty after years on gravel pads. I have a number of GCI items, and have never been disappointed. Hope my chairs continue that streak.

Exactly.  But mine are brown.
Since we stopped RVing I do yave them for sale with carry bad for 75 dollars.  Fabric is a bit worn, but still very good overall with no rust on the chrome.
If interested and happen to be in Oregon or coming this way....

We've been carrying these for the last couple of years and like them.

We got two of these a few years ago.  A bit bulky and heavier than I would like, but very comfy and we really like the side table for coffee or cocktails.

We also had those and liked them at first but then after a while, hated them. The problem was the front ?X? brace. It would press against the bottom side of my legs. I gave them away after a couple of years of sucking it up.

We have the Lafuma xl chairs. The first set is about 30 years old and were known as Lamond chairs then. They have had the mesh replaced and are fine now. Our Daughters bought us new ones (Lafuma) and we now carry both sets in our MH. Lafuma bought Lamond out and they are now Lafuma. They are expensive,$100+, but are well worth the price.
Good Luck,
Indiana Journey

We had a pair of https://www.strongbackchair.com/ chairs and loved them until one went missing and the other got hit by a dufus that could not manage is TT.  I have always planned to replace them when I get the chance (and money).  They are not cheap, but then again, they were comfortable.

We full time in our rv and over the last 10 years have gone through a LOT of types of chairs! GCI chairs are the most comfortable chairs we've ever owned. They fold flat super easy, are light enough to pack one handed across the rv park to neighboring bbqs, rock in uneven ground, grass and gravel and store flat in the underbelly of our trailer for travel. I found them here:

I like the side table.  And cheap enough if they walk off.  Sack chairs are miserable.

I just purchased two of these and with a super coupon, I paid 19.99 each.

I too had a problem with bag chairs not having any back support and the slope angle of the material always made my back ache after a short period of time. Instead I purchased a "Zero Gravity Recliner" on Amazon. I have had it going on 7 years, and have used it daily most of that time.  I went with a larger size because I am 6' tall and 200 pounds (at the time).  It is still in good shape, but I did replace the elastic cords once at a cost of about $10.

The shape of the chair is an "L" shape, which is much  easier on my back, and the movable headrest is a nice touch. Not the cheapest chair out there, but 7 years worth of use and still going strong is a good sign. The chair is wider than some models, but for comfort it has worked out well. I store mine in an overhead shelf I rigged in the storage area to save space in the pull out trays. When it eventually is replaced I will get another one like it. Don't fix what's not broken.....

We decided we had Coleman with regular camping chairs. The quality of fabric and chair is great. The side table is easy to put up and down and holds some weight as well. The arms have wraparound padding for comfort that is easily removed.
