This was us in Texas 2 weeks ago. 85 mph straight line winds.
We didn't get hit quite that bad but still had plenty of limbs in the yard. That was the storms that blew over the RV I saw out at the lake and got me thinking. You probably remember the storm that took out the marina in Lewisville last year.

As for avoiding storms, well yes but you can't always out run them especially if set up in a RV park. Too, I'm not fond of having to bug out every time it looks like rain.

Our family business when I was growing up was mobile home improvements. Skirting, anchoring, porches, patio covers, roof coating, etc.
In Missouri, but we tied every trailer down to Florida hurricane standards. That usually meant 4 or 5 straps over the top, and about 6 on each side around the I-beams.
Only so much you can do though, I've seen tornado pics where the straps and I-beams were the only thing left on the pad.
Mobiles manufactured after about '73 have the straps built in under the skin, because over the top really does look crappy.
