Boondocking in New England or NY?

Next week I'm picking up an Aliner Scout. All of the parks that I have found open in May so I'm looking for places to boondock. Logging trails, fire access roads, etc. I want to start out in my neighborhood, so to speak, before I head west.

Boondocking in a RV on state land is not allowed in New York State. You can boondock in a tent but nothing else. Wellesley Island state Park in the Thousand Islands has winter camping with non electric or water sites

Check KOAs in CT, NY, PA, etc. Some are open year around, some opened in March and early April.
