That is a big increase. It should cost $2.06 a lb this year, Inflation was only 3.6% in the last 12 months. This year's deal: $3.49 a pound, with a limit of 6 per shopper per trip.

Now you bring up another medical problem; nut allergies. Imagine a person that is lactose intolerant AND suffers from nut allergies!Actually, the real problem is allowing the many plant-based products to be labeled "butter."
In the same vein, how is the label "contains milk" sufficient? I might confuse that with almond "milk"!

They only call it 'Almond Milk' because the term 'Nut Juice' was not a good advertising slogan. Now you bring up another medical problem; nut allergies. Imagine a person that is lactose intolerant AND suffers from nut allergies!
Whole hardily agree. One idea I've seen proposed is that states limit the number of lawyers allowed to be licensed in one state to something like one lawyer for each 1000 of population.Bingo. Easy to blame politicians or manufacturers when at the heart of most all of these seemingly ridiculous regs are legions of attorneys searching for, as you say, "any excuse" to litigate.
Blame also lies with the citizens who are more than willing to go along with these sleezebags to enrich themselves.
But you may be allergic to nuts.Actually, the real problem is allowing the many plant-based products to be labeled "butter."

Butter, in particular among dairy products, is one of the best dietary sources of butyric acid, which is beneficial for weight loss, gut health, IBS, Crohn's disease, insulin resistance, inflammation, and potentially a treatment for colo-rectal cancer. But you may be allergic to nuts.
The dairy industry has been fighting for years to get the almond 'milk' producers to drop the word 'milk'.
Plus, almond 'milk' needs multiple additives to get the nutritional value of real 'milk'. Same with soy 'milk'.
Agree, but the OP was only stating a fact about the mislabeling of butter for people that are allergic to milk products.Butter, in particular among dairy products, is one of the best dietary sources of butyric acid, which is beneficial for weight loss, gut health, IBS, Crohn's disease, insulin resistance, inflammation, and potentially a treatment for colo-rectal cancer.
Does deep frying the butter offset any of these benefits?Butter, in particular among dairy products, is one of the best dietary sources of butyric acid, which is beneficial for weight loss, gut health, IBS, Crohn's disease, insulin resistance, inflammation, and potentially a treatment for colo-rectal cancer.
I agree completely about what the OP was stating, but we are way down in page 3 of this and as usual, we have "thread drift", where the original statement, or "subject" of the original post has coursed like a stream through the landscape of comments to a new thought or two. It'll be ok, we're still talking about butter.Agree, but the OP was only stating a fact about the mislabeling of butter for people that are allergic to milk products.
So would they call butter made with almond milk āNut Butterā?They only call it 'Almond Milk' because the term 'Nut Juice' was not a good advertising slogan.
That, or duck butter. So would they call butter made with almond milk āNut Butterā?
