I love my country and I love the American Flag. I was very disturbed when Colin Kaepernick, the SF 49ers black quarterback, was attacked because he was protesting the treatment of black people by kneeling during the National Anthem in 2016. The “patriots” (“patriots” is a code word for bigots) all lost their minds accusing him in online forums of disrespecting the flag. The idiots attacking him were so clueless they did not know they were doing the thing he was protesting, by treating black people differently.
So I posted a question on these forums asking how many people stood up for the National Anthem on TV. No one claimed that they did stood up in front of a TV while the anthem was played.
So recently the “stop the steal” maga cult has adopted flying the American Flag upside down as the symbol of the movement. And this is not disrespectful? How about the American Flag with some stupid politicians name in big bold letters across the flag. That’s about as disrespectful as it gets.
