5W jacks powered by tow hookup?

When are you going to need towing Tom? We'll be in the area but not until around July.

    Question

Open rvforum.net in your preferred search engine. When it's open you'll see three dots in the top right, click on them and a drop down menu will show add to home screen. Touch that and an icon will then be somewhere on your home screen. If you touch and hold the icon, you can move it to wherever...

A little fun Florida Drivers TEST

I've seen spots that are nice and wide, but the roadway to back in has been narrow or had trees or other obstacles opposite the site preventing a decent turn. There's been occasions when I've given up but wondered if it was my failing or the spot I was attempting.

A little fun Florida Drivers TEST

Just scored 19/20! Not bad for a Brit. Got the one about driving at night aged 17 wrong, but I'm well past that age. Guess I've learnt a little in the five years of US travels🤔

Look Ma, No Trailer Brakes (at least not enough brakes)

I'll be interested in your results as our UK pick up has the same controller and a couple of times our emergency cable has snagged and pulled the break away switch. I soon new as the trailer stopped dead. I've had no suspicion about the brakes but I would like to know if we need to get a...

We are looking into a Canada Visit

i don't know if this will be any help to you or anyone else, but here's a list of the campsites and distances we traveled from West of Edmunton AB to Sault St Marie. For your ease this is the reverse of our actual route. Because we are self contained, we hardly ever now use campground washrooms...

We are looking into a Canada Visit

Chims is correct about Moraine lake being nicer than Lake Louise, we couldn't agree more. The Icefield parkway is absolutely stunning(don't miss Peyto Lake) and we've never failed to see several bears along the roadside

Upgrade manual crank jacks to electric?

I think BAL make a kit, that's what we have on our fifth wheel in the UK on the rear steadys. A 12 volt motor and gearbox slides on to the hexagonal winder head and the gearbox is attached to the steady pivot shaft with two plates. The attached picture is of the motor.

We are looking into a Canada Visit

What you would like to see when in Canada very much depends on how long you intend to be in the country. It's a very long drive from Florida to the border, and to give you some idea, we did around 5000 miles from Penticton to SSM, including trips out without the fifth wheel during the two...
