Reno NV to Trinidad CA-Need Route Advice

We are traveling from Reno NV to Trinidad CA in June of 2024. Any experience with a 36' 5th wheel and road access? We would like to take the 395/44 to Redding then 299 to Trinidad.

Welcome to The RV Forum! I see you asked the same question over on the Escapees Forums. Your intended route should be fine, the road to avoid is CA 36 from Red Bluff on I-5 to Fortuna on the coast - it's specifically not recommended for RVs due to multiple tight turns.

We use that route a lot to get over to the CA north coast in a 28 ft Class C motorhome with a TOAD. Its good road the whole way and we have seen a lot of folks towing 5 wheels. Should not be a problem for you.
