Replying to old threads

Just curious if you occasionally click on Mark Forum Read (below the red menu line)?

I do that on occasion, but it's because there are new posts in threads that don't interest me, such as the Wordle and Connections threads in the Shade Tree, so after I've read all that interest me I click Mark Forum Read.

In the sections that don't interest me I just ignore any new posts, never clicking on the thread -- in the old software, though, I actually put ignore (or whatever the selection was in my profile) for each of the sections I didn't bother with (Solar, Winnebago, etc), but the new software doesn't provide for that.

Yes, once in a while I will clear everything after I have gone through what I wanted to read, just to start with a fresh forum.
